Walking in Other Shoes - Empathy and Deep Understanding

Inyahead Press in partnership with Odyssey House Victoria have created a comprehensive resource that explores empathy and its role in the development of the intellect and emotional health of young people.

The workshop includes:

  • An exploration of empathy and its role in social, emotional and cognitive development
  • A session about using stories as a key strategy in the development of empathy
  • Familiarisation with the teaching resource: Walking in Other Shoes
  • Sessions exploring the ways of using the 3 sets of resilience cards

This is a unique opportunity to receive an incredible set of resources for teaching social and emotional skills.

Each participant will receive:

  • Walking in Other Shoes: Empathy and Deep Understanding (student resource manual)
  • Set of 6 posters (designed to support the development of an emotional vocabulary)
  • 3 sets of full colour, laminated cards
  • Story book - A Day in the Life of Raindrop

NB. The value of the resource pack is more than the cost of the workshop.  This has been made possible by the generous support of Odyssey House.
